Norfolk Oil Transit is a terminal steeped in history of For-Hire Terminal in the United States. In 1952 Norfolk Oil Transit pioneered the first export bulk liquid shipments of tallow in the United States. Prior to 1952 tallow was exported out of the mid-west via the Great Lakes in Drums.
As a visionary and leader in the development of innovative transportation design, Reginald Narelle, Sr. formed an alliance with the Norfolk & Western Rail Road.
